A while back I was watching a late night talk show and the host went outside to the person on the street. The host showed the person the outline of a state and asked them which state it was. The person answered with the confidence of someone who was born and lived there for many years. Confidently the person said Texas. The picture was of Florida. The next few guests were just as good identifying various states.
I thought about what geocachers do with maps and how many of us travel so I created this geoart with 50 puzzles. This is a geoart that when completed will turn into a powertrail. In each one you'll be required to identify a state based on it's outline. If there are other states connected to one, you are to identify only the one with the complete outline, none of the others. As to hints for which state you are looking at, no. Nothing in the name or the order placed will help you. These will be coming out a few at a time. Use the checker below to see if you have the correct name for the state. Have fun and good luck.
Don't come out here after a rain. It looks like it could be tretorous. As to where to start, with a truck or Jeep, it is up to you. With a sedan I suggest starting from the east. See the cache States Geoart Start Here.
