This cache is located in a Natural Resources District recreation area with trails mowed through tall grass.
update 4/2007 - I adopted this cache sometime ago in memory of my friend, The Geo-poet. The cache is now a standard ammo can. This was the first cache placed in the Prairie Lake area.
(UPDATE: Seveal cachers have said the coords are off a bit. I've tried to dial in closer, but these coordinates are the best I can get with my low-end receiver. Very sorry folks. Just think like a geocacher. Some logs suggest the cache is a bit southwest of the posted coords.)This cache is in a small rectangular Rubbermaid container. It is near a trail, but not readily visible to the casual passerby. The recreation area is around a good sized pond, and easiest access to the cache would be from the parking area to the west of the pond. The trail is not terribly tough, but the grass does get tall sometimes. The cache contains a seashell, a tractor-shaped magnet, a Pokemon card, a hockey trading card, a poem by Robert Frost (please leave the poem), a logbook, and 4 pencils (please leave at least one pencil). Have fun!
