Tämä kätkösarja jatkaa suomen lintujen tutkimista. Kirjosieppo kuuluu varpuslintuihin, johon kuuluu 58 sukua ja 306 lajia.Siepot talvehtivat pääasiassa Afrikassa. Nimensä mukaisesti siepot sieppaavat  saaliinsa lennosta.Kirjosiepot pesivät koloissa ja myös lintupötöissä. Kirjosiepon laulu on pirteä helposti opittava säe.Vuoden 1971 pophitti "Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep" kuvaa kirjosiepon säettä.
