LV: Slēpnis atrodas pie Ogres Varžu dīķa peldvietas. 20. gadsimta 70. gados, būvējot Rīgas HES, ūdens līmenis Ogres upē pacēlās par vairākiem metriem, un vecais upes gultnes posms tika atdalīts no galvenās straumes. Tā radās mierīgs dīķis, kas tagad tiek dēvēts par Ogres Vecupi jeb Varžu dīķi.
Varžu dīķis ir viena no iecienītākajām peldvietām Ogrē. Pieejamas ģērbtuves, tualete, pludmales volejbola laukums, āra trennažieri un rotaļlaukums bērniem. Izbūvēta ģērbtuve ar uzbrauktuvi, kas paredzēta māmiņām ar bērnu ratiņiem, kā arī cilvēkiem ar kustību traucējumiem. Vasaras sezonā iespējams izīrēt arī sup dēļus.
Netālu atrodas arī Daugavas promenāde. Šī promenāde piedāvā plašu, labi uzturētu gājēju un velobraucēju celiņu gar Daugavas krastu. No promenādes paveras skaists skats uz Daugavu, tās gleznainajiem līkločiem un blakus esošo Ogres salu. Pastaigas laikā iespējams baudīt mierpilnu dabas ainavu un pilsētas nomales klusumu.
Nokļūšana: Lai nokļūtu līdz slēpnim, automašīnu var atstāt bez maksas norādītajās stāvvietās. Līdz slēpnim iespējams aiziet pa zemes ceļu.

Eng: The cache is located at the Ogre Frog Pond swimming area. In the 1970s, during the construction of the Riga HPP, the water level in the Ogre River rose by several meters, and the old riverbed section was cut off from the main stream. This created a calm pond, now known as the Ogre Oxbow, or Frog Pond.
Frog Pond is one of the most popular swimming spots in Ogre. It offers changing rooms, toilets, a beach volleyball court, outdoor gym equipment, and a playground for children. There is also a changing room with a ramp designed for mothers with strollers as well as people with mobility impairments. During the summer season, it is also possible to rent SUP boards and enjoy a peaceful paddle on the pond.
Nearby you will also find the Daugava Promenade. This promenade offers a wide, well-maintained pedestrian and cycling path along the banks of the Daugava River. From the promenade, you can enjoy beautiful views of the river, its scenic bends, and the nearby Ogre Island. While walking, you can experience peaceful natural landscapes and the quiet charm of the town’s outskirts.
Access: To reach the cache, you can leave your car for free in the designated parking areas. The cache can be reached via a dirt road.
Container: The cache is located 1 meter above the ground. The container holds a logbook, but NO pencil. After finding the cache, please make sure to place it back exactly as you found it! A small gift awaits the first to find.
