My teen wondered if it would be a good idea to climb a volcano that is still warm. Because of... obvious reasons!
The cache is located at the start of the walking path. The walk is relatively easy, and yes, at the top, you can still feel heat when you touch the ground! Awesome.
Recommend visiting the museum first, then taking the walk.
As with all my caches, if this one disappears or has problems, I would be grateful for assistance fixing or replacing. There are very few caches in Iceland, I am doing my best to change that, but that means sometimes I only pass through the area once a year or so.
