Λιμάνι του Πειραιά, Άγιος Σπυρίδωνας
Ο Πειραιάς, το μεγαλύτερο λιμάνι της Ελλάδας και ένα από τα σημαντικότερα της Μεσογείου, αποτελεί βασική πύλη σύνδεσης της ηπειρωτικής χώρας με τα νησιά του Αιγαίου Πελάγους. Από την αρχαιότητα υπήρξε κέντρο εμπορίου, ναυσιπλοΐας και πολιτισμού, ενώ σήμερα εξυπηρετεί εκατομμύρια επιβάτες και μεγάλους όγκους εμπορευμάτων κάθε χρόνο.
Στην καρδιά του Πειραιά δεσπόζει ο Ιερός Ναός του Αγίου Σπυρίδωνα, πολιούχου της πόλης. Η ιστορία του ανάγεται, σύμφωνα με ορισμένες αναφορές, στον 11ο-12ο αιώνα, ενώ άλλες πηγές τον τοποθετούν στον 16ο αιώνα. Ο σημερινός ναός είναι ο τρίτος που ανεγέρθηκε στην ίδια θέση, θεμελιωμένος το 1863 πάνω στα ερείπια παλαιότερων ναών και μονής.
