Geocache Description:

The Geocache is along one of the trails in Ceres Park that is bordering the lakes within the park. It is placed to overlook one of the lakes as they were once marl pits that paleontologists from the 1860's had searched to find the first fossils of the Dryptosaurus, which had been a major discovery for paleontology at the time as it was the first large carnivorous dinosaur found in North America. Someone would need to look around the elevated area looking over cedar lake in order to find where it is hidden. Inside the rectangular box, a logbook and some more information about the Dryptosaurus and about its discovery can be found.
