The winning entry in Derwent Housing Association's 'Sculpture for the Millennium' competition,
Steel Wheels was commissioned by Derwent to symbolise lessons learned from the past, balanced against optimism for the future.
Designed when studying BA Sculpture at Loughborough University, Dan's piece represents machine and railway components. It evokes the atmosphere of Loughborough's industrial past and reflects the former use of the Grand Union Gardens site, once home to the lowles Factory.
