What is Equinox?
A solar equinox is a moment in time when the Sun appears directly above the equator, rather than to its north or south.
On the day of the equinox, the Sun appears to rise directly east and set directly west. This occurs twice year around 20 March and 23 September.
This celestial event helps us understand more about our planet and its journey around the Sun!
In the Northen Hemisphere, the March equinox is called the vernal or spring equinox while the September equinox is called the autumnal equinox.
In September 2025, September equinox is on 22nd September around 18:20.
