Geocache Description:

Tonto Natural Bridge State Park: Turn off to the park is located about 10 miles north of Payson on HW87, just past mile post 263.

This virtual cache is located in Tonto Natural Bridge State Park. The beauty of the natural bridge and the surrounding area is just spectacular!

There are several trails that go down to the bridge. Please check the park website for the current status and accessibility of the trails.

To claim the cache, you need to do one of the following:

1) Post a picture of your team/self with GPS unit in hand in front of the sign marking the Gowan Loop Trail. The GPS coordinates provided mark the location of this sign.

2) Email me the name of the gold prospector who first documented this beautiful bridge. If not in the park brochure, you can find it online.

There is a small entrance fee ($7 per adult) to get into the park.. but it is well worth it. Hours of operation are 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. They are open every day except Thanksgiving and Christmas.
