Xinyi Fang Commercial Pedestrian Street is located in the Muyuqiao area of Gongshu District, Hangzhou. It stretches from Hushu Road in the east to Moganshan Road in the west, extending along both banks of the Yuhangtang River, with a total length of 500 meters. The design follows the traditional Jiangnan riverside market and neighborhood model, connecting both banks through three ancient bridges: Luting Bridge, Caoying Bridge, and Guijin Bridge, forming a spatial layout of "one river, two streets, and three bridges."
The individual buildings on the street adopt a traditional Jiangnan architectural style, featuring facilities such as arcades, waterside pavilions, and boat docks. The street also retains sculptures that integrate historical scenes, such as "Selling Fish" and "Dock." The name of the street originates from a story about Lu Shui, a scholar during the Qianlong period, who was known for his integrity and emphasis on trust and righteousness, as well as the historical tradition of honest business practices in "Xinyi Lane."
Today, the street's commercial activities include dining, cafes, bars, and wedding photography, and it is adjacent to the Grand Canal Scenic Area. Xinyi Fang has become a landmark in the city, combining cultural experiences with leisure and consumption.
