Wyoming is filled with lots of old west frontier history. Stop by
this cache to learn a bit about the area of the old Camp Carlin and
Fort D.A. Russel, now known as F.E. Warren Airforce Base. If you
look approximately 3/4 of a mile to the north, you will also see
orginal red brick structures dateing back to the late 1800's to
early 1900's. Part of this is houseing and part is other facilities
that have to do with the base's ongoing operations. The Mapquest
does not show the correct placement of the road because it was
realigned some time ago (1980??). Just follow your GPS, you will
find it ok.
This Cache as well as others in the area, are on a path that
will lead you to some of this history. Please check out these other
Caches in the area:

Ultimately this path will wind up somewhere in the Black
Hills(South Dakota) area. Imagine what it was like to travel back
then as you journey over this course.
