This collection of caches has nothing to do with the Church Micro series in the UK. Given that the Australian 2021 census indicates that No Religion and Jedi Knight are still the fastest increasing classifications of the optional religion question "What is the person's religion?" it is not surprising that there is surfeit of empty churches that have been repurposed.
The Church of the Prince of Peace Anglican Church (aka "the blue church") is completing its transition from Church to Used2B. It originally opened in 1876 for a Lutheran congregation as "Zum Kripplein Christi" (Christ's Manger). When this congregation amalgamated with another, the church was sold to the Anglican Church and was consecrated in 1919 as the Prince Of Peace Anglican Church. In recent years services offered here have dwindled, and the church closed and was sold in 2023. There has been planning approval posted for conversion to accommodation, and most of the signature blue cladding has been removed. Current work is moving extremely slowly, if at all. I can't find a foundation stone, and churchesaustralia.org is not aware of one. If you have any additional information, send it to me and I will add it to this page.
Below is the link to the wherigo cartridge to take you the cache. It is located roadside, with no kerb, so take care with traffic and keep a tight rein on loved ones. There is ample parking, picnic tables and toilets just a bit further up the road from here. The cache is a micro; no room for swaps or TBs.
