You may need a TOTT to pull down some of these caches in times of low water. It is a good idea to move out from the shore and face into the waves when boats pass, to avoid being caught in the waves. It is up to you to boat safely and be aware. Boat drivers often don’t watch the shoreline.
On many mornings we paddle here without seeing another boat. Weekdays before 10:30 a.m. is the best time to avoid boat traffic. On the weekend the boats seem to multiply and after 10:30 a.m. the river becomes very busy with speedboats and large boats. You never know when the jet ski boats will be out.
