We started geocaching in February 2005 because our son was interested after watching an item on the BBC TV programme 'Countryfile'. The GPS we bought was heavy, clunky and used batteries at an alarming speed. We did not become geocachers in our own name until later that year. We enjoyed finding caches on holidays both in the UK and abroad. But it was when we got a smart phone that geocaching became so much easier.
Glen gardens is a traditional neighbourhood park on Heworth's main street, one mile east of York city centre. The gardens include a rose garden, flower borders, two tennis courts and a basketball court, a table tennis table, a bowling green and a pop-up cafe run by volunteers.
