C 341, a tuxedo cat, was launched into space on the 18th of October, 1963. It was a sub-orbital flight and C 341 was recovered 13 minutes after the rocket was ignited. This mission helped bring France into the space race. There is a statue on display of C 341 at the International Space University to commemorate her contributions to science.
C 341's name was changed by the media and was then modified one more time. What is the offical name of the first cat in space?
