As a prolific cacher during my many years traveling the globe, I know how important it can be to have a well-maintained, easy cache in locations you visit. Coron is sadly lacking in that regard...until now.
I came to the Philippines to do volunteer work rebuilding schools destroyed in the recent typhoons. I left with many wonderful memories and not a few pulled muscles and maybe even a new scar or two...but I also left without my heart which was taken by a wonderful woman I met. So, I am now back in the Philippines - at least semi-permanently - and based in Coron, so I wanted to see if I could improve the opportunities for my fellow cachers to grab a smiley.
While not required for the find, please consider climbing the 700+ steps to the viewpoint at the top of the mountain - there are plenty of opportunities to rest on the way up, and the view is worth the effort. Be warned - take water and, if you are fair skinned, sun protection.
