H2-Oh! Scavenger Hunt & Meet/Greet

Meet/Greet:  11:30 am to 12 noon

Optional Scavenger Hunt:  12:00 pm to 4:00 pm (Terrain rating for the scavenger hunt will be 1.5 to 3)

Scavenger Hunt and Meet/Greet Details

• There will be a meet/greet starting at 11:30 am until 12:00 pm at the event location.  The terrain rating for the Meet/Greet will be a 1.5, while the terrain rating for the optional H2-Oh! scavenger hunt will be 1.5 to 3.
•  For those wanting to participate in the optional H2-Oh! Scavenger hunt, we will gather promptly  at 12:00 pm to sign up and hear the about the scavenger hunt rules and will end at 4 pm.
• Approximate Walking Distance (if trying for all items):  4 to 5 Miles
• Each item will earn 1 to 5 points.
• The four types of items on the list are: 

            Physical Finds.

            Answers to Questions.

            Photo.

• Physical items will be returned to each team upon scoring.
• Suggested Equipment:  Smartphone w/GPS (or GPSr) and Digital Camera Device (which likely is your Smartphone w/GPS) are required.  Hiking boots or footware for dirt and possibly wet paths.  Vehicle.  Bug spray.  Flashlight.  Pens.  Clipboard.  Bag to hold physical finds.  Plastic gloves for picking up items.  NFC app on Smartphone.
• Winners will be announced as soon as scoring has completed.
• If you wish to end early & get scored, you can.  Contact information will be provided at the event.
• To assist with planning, Scavengers are strongly encouraged to log a Will Attend indicating your intent to participate in the scavenger hunt portion and if possible number of members of your team and name of your team 2 days prior to the hunt.

Scavenger Hunt Rules

• Compete in the hunt as a team of 1 to 4 people.
• All team members must be identifed at the start of the hunt.  There is no switching or combining of teams allowed during the hunt.
• Please no sharing of answers or other collusion across teams.
• Points can only be earned once for an item and not for multiple of the same items.
• Photos must include the team item issued to the team.
• 1 team item will be given to each team.
• If the item indicates a TEAM photo, then the pic must show the required item, the team item, and all team members.
• All teams must return to the posted event cords by at 3:30 pm for scoring.
