Geocache Description:

Lunch Specials here include my favourite Lasagne.  Their fresh bread is also very yummy.

But, within the doors of this famous building, something special happens (or has!)  Fingers crossed our meals will be delivered by a special restaurant ToTT.

WHEN - Thursday October 30, 2025

              12.30pm - 1.15pm

FASTA PASTA - Cnr South & Pulteney Streets, Adelaide

WILL ATTENDS - I would like to finalise the booking at the latest, the day before.

Here is the current specials menu, which could change - FPM2127_LunchRefresh_May2025_ADL_HEY.pdf

The restaurant has a private window/raised area which fronts Pulteney Street, hoping to nab that.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

BUT, this building  Used 2 B a Hotel, the Green Dragon Hotel to be precise which advertised "Counter Lunches and Interstate Beer" in an old photo online.  Further investigations revealed;

"The Green Dragon Hotel, north- west corner of South Terrace and Pulteney Street, was established in 1858 and underwent a number of renovations throughout its history."  Previously, this section of Pulteney Street was named Hanson Street. The street having its name changed in 1967. It also housed the Dragon Brewery,

It was the first, and for many decades, the only hotel on South Terrace.  It offered rooms, stables and stockyards and, for a time, a weighbridge.

In my family tree research, my late 2 x Great Grandfather was a Farrier nearby and advertising his services in 1880 after arriving into Adelaide in 1875. I like to think he would have had a few drinks there .......
