A beautiful desert palm oasis complete with running water...

This cache is placed in the Biskra Palms area of Indio Hills. The area is managed by the Nature Conservancy. Here, native California fan palms thrive in great numbers. Biskra Palms is a somewhat remote area where the San Andreas fault captures groundwater that nurtures the palms.

Access to Biskra Palms is easiest by following the power line road at the North end of Washington Street. Also accessible by 4WD off the North end of Adams St. at:
N33° 47.250 W116° 16.988 (from here, it is 1.9 miles to the cache) Travel on the powerline road east until you're immediately south of the palm groves, then turn North. There is an parking area just below the palm oasis at N33° 47.408 W116° 15.244.

The cache is in a .30 cal ammo can painted desert tan. All new original contents are as follows:
