*START OF MESSAGE*
Lock and load troops, this mission is critical. It should
be only slightly more difficult than the last two. The coordinates above are for the Insertion
Point (IP). Attempt this mission only after dark. It is highly recommended that you take a navigator to operate the guidance
equipment while you man the light emitting unit. To complete this assignment,
you'll need to draw the following from the quartermaster:
Mandatory Equipment:
- Tube, Light Emitting with fresh batteries
- A back-up Tube, Light Emitting with fresh batteries
- Receiver, Handheld Global Positioning Satellite,
with fresh batteries
Optional Equipment:
- FRS Radio with fresh batteries
- Night Vision Goggles
- IR Flashlight
- Parachute
- Non-reflective camouflage face paint
Power up and reset your GPSr now, you
will need to follow the unit's breadcrumb trail to find your way back!
From the IP, follow the trail around to the left and begin
looking for two glint patches, one above the other. The two patches mark waypoint Golf
Charlie Zero.
Two patches together indicate that you
should STOP and look around.
Radio instructions: If you were able to obtain a FRS radio, make the
following calls on FRS Channel 02.
NOTE: RANGE CONTROL
HAS MOVED 0.5 MILES UP THE ROAD AND MAY NO LONGER BE WITHIN RADIO RANGE OF THIS
CACHE. IF YOU ANTICIPATE TROUBLE OR WOULD LIKE A MEETING, SEND AN EMAIL
WELL IN ADVANCE OF YOUR ETA.
- At the IP: "Range Control - Range Control, this is ____________(your code name) at the
IP inbound to Golf Charlie Zero."
- At the cache: "Range Control - Range Control, this is ____________(your code name) at the
cache outbound to the IP."
No response indicates that you are clear to
proceed. Range Control may answer to ask if you need assistance or are requesting a rendezvous.
Range Control WILL NOT intercept any agent unless requested.
!WARNING!
There are large, deep holes
to the left and right of the trail centerline at three points along your route. Range control
cautions all agents to be aware of these traps.
The trail is similarly marked with glint patches as
before. There are a couple intersections on the trail and you should be able to see the next
patch from the center of each. Shine your light down each trail, high and low, and look for
the reflection. The cache container is unmarked.
As with all tactical missions, the extraction will be the most
difficult. There are no glint-patches to guide you out. You must remember the way
or use the GPSr's breadcrumb trail to guide you. Counting your lefts and rights on the
way in will help. If you choose, bring popcorn
to drop on the ingress, you can follow them for egress. If you become lost,
captured, or killed, we will disavow any knowledge of you or your mission. Good luck, we're
all counting on you.
Remember to replace the cache
exactly as you found it.
Special Notice:
Range Control recommends that you stealthily park your vehicle, if any, about
100 meters prior to the trailhead under the streetlamp at the Cottesmore of Life
Care Center. Enemy delinquents are know to prowl the area of the trailhead
in an attempt to steal any secrets our agents may leave in their cars.
