Before all the fast food places, traveling families would stop and picnic beside the highway and take in a meal, or just to rest a minute and/or check their vehicles. Now days they are still used for that purposes but mostly for truck drivers to stop for a rest. These were everywhere, but they seem to be dying off. A sad part of todays history of traveling history.
