We all know that geocaching can take us to interesting and weird places that we might have never heard of otherwise. I figured that events could be used in a similar manner to point out curious events and stories, various odds and sods, that I stumbled upon while wandering around in internet rabbit holes.

Mildred Lisette Norman adopted the name "Peace Pilgrim" and started her decades-long walking journey for peace. She walked across the United States for 28 years, speaking with others about peace. She died during her seventh cross-country journey.

The New Horizons space probe conducted a flyby of Arrokoth, a trans-Neptunian object located in the Kuiper belt. Currently it is farthest object that has been visited by a spacecraft.
