Geocache Description:

Orenda Park in Boswell Borough is where Merchants Coal Company operated a Tipple and viaduct to transport coal across the stream for sorting and loading into trail cars.  The coal was a very high quality and was given the name Orenda coal, orenda means magic power in indian.  The mine was constructed in 1901-2 and was dismantled in 1939.  many of the original mine buildings and miner's homes are still in use today.  The northern part of Boswell was designated a National Historic District in 1994.  Looking for a preform tube, please tuck back carefully out of sight.
