First I should explain how this cache got its name. I chose the cache location near a powerline and set my pack down. When I turned back, ants were swarming over my pack. Since I had no idea what to call the cache, I used the first thing that came to my mind. If you have food in your pack, watch where you lay it down. These ants will not attack you, but your pack contents are fair game according to their rules. 40 37
A little history. I visited the Original Stash location on October 18, 2014, and found this plaque commemorating Dave Ulmer’s initial hide that started this hobby/game:
