The Manukau Foreshore Walkway runs along the harbour and is easy to get to. People walk and run here all the time, and there’s always birds around to watch.
The path changes with the tide and the light, and it’s easy to see why this stretch of coast has been used for ages.
You can reach the geocache from a few different spots along the walkway. I came in from the nearby street under the bridge, but the cemetery entry point works too!
You’re looking for a mint tin (not magnetic) on the right-hand side as you head toward the cemetery. It’s tucked at the base of the first big concrete beam, the one that supports the wooden post holding up the bridge. The hide sits under some more concrete pieces, so you’ll need to get down low to spot it. Its under some weeds / plants. NOT UNDER BRIDGE. No more, you can do the rest.
