The Manukau Foreshore Walkway runs along the harbour and is easy to get to. People walk and run here all the time, and there’s always birds around to watch.
The path changes with the tide and the light, and it’s easy to see why this stretch of coast has been used for ages.
You can reach the geocache from a few different spots along the walkway. I came in from the nearby street under the bridge, but the cemetery entry point works too!
The geocache is a simple pill bottle, at the base of the pohutakawa between the 2 different trees, just a few steps off the path, please make sure to recover with leaf debris. Keep it low-key, people pass by regularly.
