Oggi voglio portarvi a fare una passeggiata all'interno del Parco del San Pellegrino, che si estende sul Colle di Casaglia a fianco del ben più famoso Colle della Guardia, che ospita il Santuario di San Luca. Dal parco si gode di una stupenda vista sulla parte ovest di Bologna, a partire da Casalecchio, l'aeroporto, l'Ospedale Maggiore, fino a toccare la Torre Unipol e persino, con un occhio attento, la Torre degli Asinelli! Tutto attorno invece, si può avere una vista privilegiata proprio sul santuario da un lato, e sull'abitato di Gaibola e l'Eremo di Ronzano dall'altro.
Il parco ospita diverse specie di flora, tra cui anche alcuni alberi da frutto: d'estate, a seconda del mese, si può tornare a casa con le tasche piene di ciliegie, more o fichi. La zona è molto frequentata da tutti i tipi di persone, e in ogni momento dell'anno si possono trovare gruppi di giovani universitari, famiglie con figli e cani al seguito, corridori e ciclisti solitari o coppie innamorate. Il parco è disponibile al pubblico 24/7 e vi consiglio di passarci una sera d'estate, è uno dei pochi posti che concede tregua dall'afa e anche se non ideali presenta delle ottime opportunità di vedere le stelle nonostante la vicinanza della città!
Lo scopo di questo multicache è quello di accompagnarvi in una passeggiata attraverso tutto il parco (e oltre): la distanza è di circa 1,5 km in leggera salita, e tra andata e ritorno ci vorrà poco meno di un'ora. Gli stage intermedi sono tutti virtuali e richiedono di inserire dei numeri nelle formule per ottenere le coordinate degli stage successivi, ma l'idea è quella di godervi alcuni bellissimi panorami su Bologna e i suoi colli!

Today I want to take you on a walk through the San Pellegrino Park, which stretches along the Casaglia Hill next to the much more famous Colle della Guardia, home to the Sanctuary of San Luca. From the park you can enjoy a stunning view over the western part of Bologna - from Casalecchio, the airport, and the Maggiore Hospital, all the way to the Unipol Tower and even, if you look closely, the Asinelli Tower! All around, you can also get a privileged view of the sanctuary on one side, and of the village of Gaibola and the Ronzano Hermitage on the other.
The park hosts several species of flora, including some fruit trees: in summer, depending on the month, you might even head home with your pockets full of cherries, blackberries, or figs. The area is very popular with all kinds of people, and throughout the year you’ll find groups of university students, families with kids and dogs, runners, cyclists, or couples in love. The park is open to the public 24/7, and I recommend visiting it on a summer evening - it’s one of the few places that offers a break from the heat, and even though the conditions aren’t perfect, it offers great opportunities for stargazing despite being so close to the city!
The goal of this multicache is to accompany you on a walk through the entire park (and beyond): the route is about 1.5 km long, with a gentle uphill slope, and the round trip will take just under an hour. The intermediate stages are all virtual and require you to collect numbers to use in formulas to find the coordinates of the next stages. The idea, however, is to enjoy some beautiful views of Bologna and its hills!
