A standpipe is an old word for water tower. The Port Elgin water tower is a straight water tower, much like a very large pipe.
The cache container is not inside the gated courtyard around the water tower. Some May find it quickly, while others might be thoroughly confused as to where the cache container might be hiding.
The cache container is a small regular sized container,or a large small so we are calling it a regular for geocaching purposes.
