When I was a teenager, seems like a long time ago...to make a skateboard, we simply took a nice piece of wood, shaped and varnished it, added some wheels from our big sisters' roller skates and voila! we had skateboards.  As I recall the wheels were composite wheels, sorta like they were made of concrete or at least something very hard.  We took these skateboards to the local college campus and rode up and down the stadium ramps, all over the sidewalks around the dorms, and wherever we could find a hill or some gravity.  We didn't wear helmets. I remember skinned knees, elbows, and toes (we sometimes went skateboarding in our flip flops). Anyway this geocache is a salute to simpler times, fun with friends, and the wiles of youth.
