Just out of Kamo is this lovely new subdivision. A great place for a relaxed drive to view the great new homes being built on decent sized lots and not tucked up within touching distance of each other. Luckily, whilst developing the subdivision, the patches of mature native bush were retained and now make lovely reserves dotted around the area.
Also, the developers thoughtfully provided a series of walking paths that join up each of the no exit roads with these reserves, and they also join on to the Pukenui Forest walkway. One of these paths goes up and over a higher point in the middle of the subdivision and there is a nice stone lookout platform to get a good view over most of the area. This cache is at the start of that track.Dogs are permitted on the paths, but on a leash at all times please.
The best parking when looking for this cache, is at the end of any of the close no exit roads or you could park at the end of Amalin Drive and make a nice 30 - 40 minute loop walk. Please take care driving in this subdivision and watch out for children, who like to use the nice smooth roads to ride their scooters or bikes.
There a many geocache in the area so have fun exploring the neighborhood!
