¡Bienvenidos al Festival Internacional de Cine de Geocaching 2025!
Lo que conocemos como GIFF (Geocaching International Film Festival) es un festival donde la comunidad geocachera a nivel mundial de presenta cortometrajes relacionados con esta afición. Ya sean comedias, dramas o aventuras de ciencia ficción, el GIFF es una oportunidad para compartir y disfrutar historias (tanto ficticias como reales) que capturan el espíritu del geocaching
El primer GIFF formó parte de la Block Party 2013 en la sede central de Geocaching en Seattle, y se proyectó en un parque cercano. Fue un éxito y continuó celebrándose de forma anual. En 2015 cancelaron la proyección en el parque por malas previsiones de lluvia, pero tuvieron una idea: permitieron a los geocachers organizar eventos GIFF para proyectar la película en sus propias comunidades de todo el mundo.
Y así, tras muchos años de haberse celebrado en cientos de lugares de todo el mundo y de nuestro país, llegamos a 2025, donde gracias a la comunidad geocachera de la Región de Murcia y alrededores se ha hecho posible que la celebración del GIFF llegue por primera vez a la ciudad de Murcia. En este evento veremos la selección oficial de cortos de 2025 subtitulados en castellano y votaremos por nuestro favorito.

Welcome to the 2025 Geocaching International Film Festival!
The Geocaching International Film Festival (GIFF) is a festival where the global geocaching community presents short films related to this hobby. Whether comedies, dramas, or science fiction adventures, GIFF is an opportunity to share and enjoy stories (both fictional and real) that capture the spirit of geocaching.
The first GIFF was part of the 2013 Block Party at Geocaching headquarters in Seattle and was screened in a nearby park. It was a success and continued to be held annually. In 2015, the screening in the park was canceled due to poor weather forecasts, but they had an idea: they allowed geocachers to organize GIFF events to screen the film in their own communities around the world.
And so, after many years of being held in hundreds of locations around the world and in our country, we arrive at 2025, where thanks to the geocaching community in the Region of Murcia and surrounding areas, it has been made possible for the GIFF celebration to come to the city of Murcia for the first time. At this event, we will see the official selection of 2025 short films subtitled in Spanish and vote for our favorite.
