Continuing with my Halloween themed caches, I'm hiding a few in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Oak Grove Cemetery and Arboretum, established in 1851, is the largest cemetery in Delaware County, Ohio. It spans about 70 acres and contains approximately 21,000 interments. The cemetery is known for its natural beauty, with rolling hills, abundant trees, flowers, and wildlife, preserving a peaceful sanctuary. The cemetery's history includes the first burial occurring on June 20, 1851, and it has been a significant burial site for Delaware citizens, including notable figures like Moses Byxbe, the founder of the city. For those interested in historical significance, the cemetery is home to a historical marker that commemorates the site's role in the Civil War and the early history of Delaware.
Watch out for the bite on this cache. đź•·
