Ho ho ho! Season's Greetings to one and all. Time once again, not only for a KAWSGE (Katy and West Side Geocaching Event), but also time once again for the annual White Elephant. It returns to last year's venue, Mia's Table, at 23235 Kingsplace Drive in Katy. Please note that this will be on a Thursday, rather than a Wednesday. Come for some great food, then stay for the White Elephant event. You can even get a milk shake.
To be eligible for the event, you must have a wrapped gift to exchange. You don't need a gift to attend the event, but you must have a gift to participate in the White Elephant. It is recommended that the gift be worth no more than about $15. And please, don't wrap that broken clock. Did I mention that the event is on Thursday?
The White Elephant will begin around 6:45.
The rules for the White Elephant are as follows: There will be a drawing for a number. Whoever gets #1 will have the first pick of the presents. The person with #2, will get to choose second. They have to option to pick from the stack of gifts or they may steal the first person's gift. The person whose gift has been stolen has the opportunity to pick another gift from the pile or steal someone else's gift. If a gift has been stolen twice, it is frozen to that person and cannot be stolen again. This process continues until everyone has had a chance to unwrap a gift or steal a gift from someone else. At the end, the person who picked first has one last opportunity to steal a gift that has not yet been frozen. If they steal a gift, they give the person whose gift was stolen the gift in their possession. This continues until someone is content with their gift. Did I mention this event is on Thursday?
Looking forward to having a rousing good fun time on Thursday.
