Geocache Description:

6 December 2025, 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM

This event will be broken up into five parts.

1.) Christmas and Friends – 11:00 – 11:30

This is optional you do not need to purchase a gift to come and celebrate with us. If you choose to buy a geocaching type gift – between 20 and 25 dollars – This year I am making some changes to this activity. This year instead of hiding your geo gift on the way to the event bring it with you to the event. You will turn your gift into susanc14 (CO) and a number will be assigned to your gift. The gift will then be placed into the back room. The number that matches your gift will be put into a bison tube along with your name and hung on the tree. If you choose to participate in the gift exchange you will pick a bison tube off the tree at the end of the event. You will then open you tube and let susanc14 (CO) what your number is and the gift with that number will be brought out to you. At this point you may open and check out your gift at the event or you can take it with you as you leave. I am trying this out to alleviate me needing to find and retrieve gifts that a cacher was unable to find and then getting the gift to the owner. Let me know what you think about this change after the event through messenger. I would appreciate any comments to help me decide what to do next year.

2.) Food and Friends – 11:30 – 12:30

Everyone enjoys to eating. So part 2 of this event is fellowship over any food that is provided. I will provide plates, plastic ware, cups and napkins. If anyone would like to provide food, drinks or snacks you are welcome to do that.  If you are planning on bringing something to eat please list what you are bringing in your “will attend” if you know so others can decide what they want to bring. Everyone likes to eat so bring something to share if you can. Even if you don’t bring a food item you can still eat with everyone else.

3.) Personal signature items and TB exchange time – 12:30 – 1:00

4.) Games and Friends – 1:00 – 2:30

We will start this part of the event by breaking up into groups of four people. This will be your team for Geocaching Trivia. We started this two years ago and those that participated seemed to enjoy this part of games time. I hope everyone will participate and have fun. I have up dated some of my question and added new questions.

If there is time after Trivia, I will provide different table games that I hope everyone will enjoy playing. The table games seemed to be a hit because I made them into geocaching games.

5.) Give out Geo Gifts – 2:30 – 3:00

Everyone who has participated in the gift exchange will be invited up to remove a bison tube from the tree. Open the bison tube to make sure you don’t get your own. So we will remove a tube one person at a time. Now enjoy your gift here or after you get home.

This year I would like to invite your muggle spouse or one muggle friend that you would like to bring to the event. This might be a way to get them interested in Geocaching. They are welcome to participate in all areas of the event including the gift exchange if they choose too.

Merry Christmas Everyone and a Safe and Happy New Year. And of course, Happy and Safe Caching.
