Geocache Description:


We believe a person should be remembered for the life they lived, not the tragic circumstances of their death.  There are many stories of the Animal Industries Building, but this resolution is the one worth remembering. 

Exploring the unique architecture of this building will help you solve the final location of the multi-cache.


RESOLUTION

OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

THE TEXAS AGRICULTURAL AND MECHANICAL COLLEGE SYSTEM

WHEREAS, in the death of Roy L. Simms, on November 14, 1959, the Agricultural and Mechanical College of Texas sustained the loss of a member of its staff who had served the college for some eighteen years, and

WHEREAS, Mr. Simms first joined the staff of the A. and M. College of Texas as a worker in the college dining hall, in 1938; and served there until his entry into the United States Naval Service in 1944, and returned to the college following his service, working at the college stock farm from 1946 until 1948, and being promoted to meat locker room foreman in 1948, the position he held at the time of his death, and

WHEREAS, during all of his years of service to the A. and M. College of Texas, Mr. Simms was known by his colleagues and associates as a conscientious worker, a man of high principles, and one of great courtesy and consideration to all with whom he associated, now therefore be it

RESOLVED, by the Board of Directors of the Texas Agricultural and Mechanical College System, meeting in regular session at College Station, Texas, this 25th day of November, 1959, that this board desires to express its appreciation for the many years of loyal service to the A. and M. College of Texas that were given by the late Roy L. Simms, and be it further

RESOLVED, that this resolution be spread on the minutes, and a copy thereof, signed by the president of the board, be sent to Mrs. Merle Simms, widow of the late Roy L. Simms, as a permanent token of the respect with which this board viewed the life and work of her late husband, and as an expression of the board’s sympathy at her great loss.

Stage 3:  Stage 3:  On the east side of the building at this location there is a row of skull sculptures.  Use the number of skull sculptures in the following format (F) to solve for the final location.  Also, on the east side of the building at this location there are gold crowns on blue tiles.  Use the number of crowns in the following format (GH) to solve for the final location.
