28th November - Pond Restoration at Hucclecote
Parking: There is some on-street parking opposite Hucclecote Meadows Reserve on Laxton Road (or in many of the other side streets nearby).
Where: Meet by the main gate at 0930 or find us in the pond!
What: Continuing what we started the previous years (this will be our 7th year), we will be working to dig out reed and vegetation from the central area of the pond. Fingers crossed there isn't too much water this time!
How: The Countryside Ranger will be there providing guidance. We ask you to bring your own gloves and if you have a spade, shears and loppers that will be great.
If you are going in the pond, I would suggest you wear ‘old’ clothes which you don’t mind possibly getting stinky and muddy are essential! Also don't forget to bring your wellies!
Health and Safety: The session and will be covered by council insurance as long as you are working under the Countryside Ranger's instruction.
Please do bring a drink as it can be thirsty work!
