Have been intending to place a Geocache here for some time....And now it is in place !
Henderson Railway Station first opened in 1880 after Thomas Henderson successfully campaigned for the railway lines to pass through the area .
A new building was added in 1912 , which also housed the Post Office. I also read someone they had a special waiting room just for ladies !
The building was decommissioned in 1987 due to the rise in the use of automobiles .
It was upgraded in 2006 and the old building was saved from demolition and is currently leased to the Henderson Heritage Trust .
To get to this cache you need to approach from Railside Ave . It was Station Rd when I was a kid !
This geocache is opposite the Mall and covered car park .
The trains and buses are right there too for your convenience .
The cache is magnetic ...and out of obvious sight .
I am sure you willl figure it out ....
