Geocache Description:

Live Long and Prosper. Great words spoken by a great alien race. The Vulcan Salute is widely recognized for those hardcore Trekkies and just random people with a passing familiaryity. In Leonard Nimoy's biography "I am Spock", he describes giving the character the use of his hands for his species form of telepathy. He first saw the gesture when he was a boy at synagogue. He was told not to look but as he described it "I did what normal young boys would do and peeked." Nimoy saw the Rabbi with his thumb extended as well as his ring and middle finger seperated. The gesture stuck with him to adulthood. When given the opportunity, he incorporated that into the Vulcan phrase Live Long and Prosper not only keeping it as a religious symbol but adding the gesture into science fiction lore.

Live Long and Prosper is only spoken in English on the show. In the first movie, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Spock is undergoing the kolinahr ritual in an attempt to purge him of all emotions. While he did not complete the kolinahr we hear a full conversation in the language including their species motto, Dif Tor Heh Smusma.

The cache is hidden behind the Seminole County Senior Center building. There is no need to go into any buildings. This cache can be a very easy park and grab as you continued your voyage home or adventures where, unlike Star Trek, someone has actually gone before. The logbook is in a special 3D printed creation from a friend in Tallahassee. You must sign the log to count as a find.
