I've been geocaching now for over twenty years, and I still enjoy that thrill when I add a new smiley to my map, or find an interesting location I never knew about before, or make a new friend at an event or out on the trail. Sometimes, though, I get into a slump where I just keeping coming up empty. Whether it's a puzzle I can't figure out or just can't seem to come up with the final container, I can sreally start to get discouraged. (That's why I usually like to cache with a friend. Two sets of eyes are usually more successful than one.)
Those really creative caches, or those really challenging puzzles, or those amazing gadget caches all have their place, but when I'm in one of those slumps, I really just want a simple easy find to restore my confidence and give me Hope once again that I'm not the world's worst geocacher.
So, this cache isn't all that creative or challenging, but I hope you enjoy adding another smiley to your map and that it restores your Hope if you find yourself in a similar situation.
Bring your own writing implement. There wasn't any room for me to include one. Depending on the day of the week and the time of day, you might find a lot of muggle activity, but there are a lot of opportunities in any given week to grab this in relative solitude. Happy caching!
