The port of Brownsville was established in 1920. It has permanent moorage and a large breakwater for guest moorage. The port is part of the Washington Water Trails and has campsites for “beachable human and wind powered watercraft.” It is common to see kayakers and paddleboarders here during the warmer months. The Brownsville Yacht Club and the port hold several events for the public throughout the year. The two most popular events are Haunted Harbor in October which includes Trick or Treating for the kids and Santa’s Lighthouse in December which offers an opportunity to take photos with Santa. The Brownsville Deli is also located here and has wonderful homemade soup and sandwiches.
