Look out we're back again! As usual the Scout Abouts get everyone out to have a good time then we disappear from the event horizon. We might have stayed retired but recently we were voted the best event hosts in a unofficial survey. When Mr Scout Abouts heard that his head swelled so much we knew the only way to get it back to normal size was to host another event and let him release all that hot air he has up there! For a venue we deciced on a favorite local spot, Lake Massebesic, and the exact spot we hosted our first event 10 years ago, Battery Point. For those who just want to drop in and say hi, that's fine, 5 minutes with us is usually enough for most. For those who choose to endure more than that we will hang out in the parking lot for a 1/2 hour. We'll chit chat , meet some new faces, rememeber some old faces, and swap trackables so it's an official event. then if you have been able to bear hanging out with us that long we will take a nice stroll out to Battery Point which was the objective of our first event.
Since this is a special anniversary and the events were named for him to begin with, Scout, our family mascot will be in attendance. I might even be able to entice Mrs Scout Abouts to attend, even though she's refused to accompany me to any of these before. She has to endure my bad jokes and poor puns 24/7 so she's entitled to a break now and again. Unfortunately the littlest of the Scout Abouts is all grown up and off to college so she won't be attending.
This, like all the previous Scout About events will be held regarless of the weather so dress accordingly.
