Geocache Description:

Tell me, are there still cul-de-sacs at the end of Bamblett Dr. and Dairy Dr.?  Or have they finally extended into a new housing development?  In 2025 they were but dead ends looking on an empty field, with tempting guardrails for geocaches.  But I could tell they might be temporary, just by looking at the house numbers in Google Maps...

This field once held the Lily Cups factory, which sat not far from a Pilkington glassworks and a Becker's Milk plant.  All these industrial lands have transformed into housing developments, with little but street names, a mural, and the Bell Estate heritage house to hint at their past.  Still, if I've done this right, it shouldn't matter how the neighborhood is changing.  Clues at each stage should still point you to a final (permanent) cul-de-sac, and there you'll find your cache.

In case it wasn't clear:  this cache is NOT at the starting co-ordinates, although you do need to go there to get started.  Look straight up from the end of Bamblett Dr. to see a number stuck high on the streetlamp.  There's also a little plate set into its pole, inscribed with a job #.  Take both numbers to help build your final co-ordinates:

N 43° 41.9[sum of every single digit in job #  +  overhead lamp #]′

Now head over to the next stage at the end of Dairy Dr., and you'll find a yellow fire hydrant.  Examine its rail-facing side for the following numbers:

W 79° 16.6[sum of every single digit in PSI #  +  # of U's]′

Experienced geocachers will have to suppress their instinct to compute digital roots with the above numbers.  GZ isn't too far away, but you'll want to exercise some stealth when you get there.  The cache looks big at first glance, but has only a micro-amount of internal space.  A pencil is included, and please leave the nut in with the log for ballast.

Here's one of the last views of part of the Lily Cups factory from Bamblett Drive...it's long gone now.
