Team mellers will be visiting this beautiful island from England and would like to meet other geocachers, while we're here. Come to the Lovesea Kiosk Bar in Oroklini, to chat about our lovely game and perhaps exchange trackables, this evening.
Our research in advance of our visit, leads us to believe that this bar is indeed open in the evenings in December and will enable you to purchase drinks of any sort (if you wish) during this time without requiring that you eat here, too. We shall be inside, with a GPSr and a Union Jack flag on our table, so that you can recognise us! If for any reason our research has let us down and the bar isn't open (or is open only for diners), we'll meet outside on the seaward site of the property, so the event will still go ahead; and as we're outside, unliess it's actually dangerous, we will go for a paddle in the sea!
UPDATE 10TH DECEMBER: We visited the bar this morning and they have advised that due to the poor weather and lack of expected customers, this evening, they intend to close early at about 5pm. As we could only say we would have 4 people coming, they were reluctant to confirm they could stay open just for us.
As the only alternative would be to move the start time of the event (never ideal when attendees have already confirmed), we will almost certainly be outside, this evening, without cocktails! Therefore, I would recommend coming equipped for rain and chilly conditions! WE WILL BE PADDLING IN THE SEA!
There are roadworks on the road past the venue but it is still possible to access the car park. We’ll meet by the little blue boat library (pictured).
