This space has been a wonderland for my dog Kaija for 15 glorious years. It seemed right to have a small memorial placed here in her memory. This is a great place to bring your furry companions. This wetland does flood in the winter, so you'll need your waders. The summer months are not advised for your dogs because of the foxtails and burrs. In the spring you'll see an abundance of wildlife, beautiful vernal pools and wildflowers as far as you can see! Park at the dead-end of Old 44 and walk into the meadow. Happy hiking!
