Gather and Chat at the Portland.
My first time hosting a caching event. I am very much looking forward to it, meeting new people, seeing people I have already met, and some geo-chat. I hope others very much enjoy it too.
Time to explore the social side of geocaching!
Venue, Date & Time
We hope to the you at the Portland pub in Ashington, 11am - 12pm on Sunday 25th January 2026.

Parking
Parking can be an issue, but there is plenty surrounding the pub. The main car park of the pub can be found around the back, at (will input coordinates later on!) and nearby.
Food & Drinks
Lunch starts at 12pm on a Sunday, their iconic Sunday Lunch being a popular option. The event ends at 12, but you can by all mean stay for longer, but it won't be officially part of the event. Drinks can be purchased at the bar throughout the event.
Caches
What's a geocaching event without any geocaches? A few days before I will submit a few geocaches in and request them to be published on the morning of the event for attendees to find before or after.
If there is any more info you would like to know about this event I am open to messages, and should respond within half an hour at daytime though at night possibly not until the next morning.
