Frederick, MD

All food and beverage costs are your own responsibility, though no purchase is required.

Join us for the 112th in-person meeting of the Frederick Puzzler's Corner, to do some brainstorming on whatever geocaching puzzle has you stumped.  This event is open to all geocachers, no matter what your experience is.  Newbies and addicts, socialites and lone wolves, mark your calendar.

If you don't like puzzles, drop in anyway - there are always interesting conversations happening!

Bring your questions and whatever tools you might need for your puzzles, including notes, scratch paper, writing instrument, and/or laptop or tablet - free Wi-Fi is available.  This is an unstructured gathering, and we continue to see successes at each meeting.  Maybe you'll find inspiration to create your own puzzle cache, as well.

Field trips not included.  But it's a great time to plan them!

With the winter holidays behind us (well, the big ones), it's time for all good Maryland geocachers to start thinking about CAM, or Cache Across Maryland for the uninitiated.  Each spring, the Maryland Geocaching Society (MGS) puts together a trail of caches placed across the state, in order to showcase what our home is all about.  Completing the trail before the May picnic has its own rewards, but the best is perhaps going places you've never been before.  Past caches have taken us to state parks, local parks, National parks; on boat rides, walks through tunnels and forests, hikes along rail-trails, on the beaches and up mountains; taught us some history or resurrected childhood memories; and shown us magnificent views of mountains, farms, cities, and every type of waterway.  That is why Maryland is called America In Miniature.  Look for more information on this year's upcoming CAM at mdgps.org; log in to visit the Forums, and subscribe to your favorite topics for automatic updates notifications.  Many cachers make plans long before the CAM locations are published/announced.  CAM usually begins in mid-March, but long before that, a lot of leg-work has already been done to make it enjoyable for all.  Where do you want to go this year?

If you drop any trackables into this event, make sure they have all been claimed or reclaimed before you leave.  We don’t want them getting lost in the muggle world!
