Dr. Morrison Park – A Legacy Worth Discovering
We’re excited to celebrate the newly installed signage at Dr. Morrison Park, now officially in place for all to enjoy! This refreshed sign pays tribute to the remarkable life and service of Dr. Bob Morrison, a true pillar of the Hope community.
Long before there was a hospital or ambulance service, Dr. Morrison dedicated over 30 years to caring for the people of Hope and the surrounding region. He made house calls in his own panel truck, often accompanied by his wife Fran, who helped him transport patients all the way to Vancouver when needed. From being paid in chickens to catching the train to Boston Bar twice a week, his commitment to providing care knew no limits.
Dr. Morrison’s compassion, resourcefulness, and unwavering dedication made a lasting impact that continues to be felt today. The new signage stands as a heartfelt tribute to a man whose legacy truly shaped this community.
As you search for this cache, take a moment to read the sign and reflect on the life of a local hero who went above and beyond for those around him. It’s a reminder that even quiet corners of a park can hold stories of extraordinary people.
Enjoy the hunt — and the history!
