After the adventure cache “Art on Buildings at TU Dresden” has led you to several sculptures on the TU campus, there is also this bonus.
Upon successful completion of the adventure, you will have received five numerical values (A - E) that you will need to calculate the coordinates of the bonus cache. F and G can be determined in the vicinity of the listing coordinates of this bonus cache.
Here you are standing in front of the sculpture ‘Kraniche’, which Werner Scheffler (1912-1996) created between 1956 and 1958. Since 1964, it has stood in the landscaped open space in front of the Andreas Schubert Building, which was completed in 1960. Placed ‘close to nature’ in a small pond, this realistically designed pair of birds is the centrepiece of a place of relaxation.
The bench is a good place to calculate the coordinates of the bonus hiding place in peace. To do this, you need the values F and G. You can determine F at the signpost: Which animal is not allowed to bathe here? The number of letters is F. How many wooden slats does the bench have? That is the value for G.
That is the value for G. You will find the bonus container at

English version of the introduction of the Adventure Lab Cache
The acquisition of artistic objects to decorate the outdoor areas of the TU campus has a long tradition that continues today. Artists of their time have left their mark here. Unfortunately, many works of art are not so conspicuous that they can be noticed when walking quickly across campus. If you take a closer look, you will find, for example, the sculpture “Hockender Bär” (1955) by Viktoria Krüger in the courtyard of the old cafeteria [N 01.606/ E 43.554] or the sculpture “Momentum” (2022) by Sophie Uchman next to the main entrance of the Merkel Building [N 01.692/ E 43.489].
With this Adventure Lab cache, we would like to introduce you to five sculptures on the campus of TU Dresden. They document the development of subjects and motifs from the 1950s to the present day. You will find another sculpture at the coordinates of the bonus cache.
We have set the starting point at the sculpture ‘Jüngling mit Fisch’ (1953) by August Schreitmüller (1871–1958). From here, it is only a few steps to the first station.
If you want to visit it, we recommend the portrait bust of Nehru as your last station.
Our ALC “Art on Buildings at TU Dresden” (with bonus cache) from 2020 shows you building-related art. This can easily be completed at the same time.
We would also like to point out two modern sculptures in the interior area, which is not always accessible: “Bubbles” by Andre Tempel in the foyer of the computer science building (2020) [N 01.529/ E 44.413] and “Spektralsymphonie der Elemente” (2010) by Roland Fuhrmann in the entrance area of the new chemistry building [N 01.700/ E 43.838].
