Martin Luther King Jr. was a pacifist who believed in non-violence and social justice. He was a prominent figure in the Civil Rights Movement in the mid-20th century, participating in and leading marches for racial equality, supervising the 1955-56 Montgomery bus boycott, and giving speeches to the masses. Last year on MLK Day, I hosted an event here to honor his legacy, so let's take it up a step this year with a trash clean-up.
Meet me at the posted coordinates at 9:00 a.m. to recieve a complementary trash bag. Bring your own trash grabber or gloves, and anything else you will need to pick up trash and stay warm.
There will be a pre-CITO event at the nearby Ana's Café. More details here.
